Aug 9-13 - Boatloads of Family Fun

For four fun-filled days we kicked back with Jordan and Amanda for the last time before their marriage coming up in September. They shared some time with us in the midst of their hectic schedule of wedding planning. We enjoyed hiking, biking, Jethro-jaunts, chillin' and cool evenings by the Yampa River. Fun, family times for sure!

Jordan and Amanda on top of the world

During our whirlwind time together we crammed in lots of adventure. Unfortunately Lenny was having so much fun he forgot to photo record all the goings on.

This was Amanda's first visit to Colorado...sooo...we had to help get her acquainted with the local culture. It was a bit more "cowboy" than, perhaps, she had envisioned. In fact, we even spent an evening at the good ole' Steamboat rodeo. Front row seats help to personalize the sights and smells.

Up close and personal

After intimate evenings of sitting and sipping along side the Yampa River, we struck out for early morning moose maneuvers. The Arapaho National Wildlife Sanctuary delivered once again in spades.  After some do-diligence, we found four or five meese that were willing to go on mid-morning display. We had a blast doing our recognizance and tracking their movements in order to catch some moosey moments.

With these well-trained young eyes, the modest meese don't stand a chance!

We saved one highlight for the final day of their visit. We took the long route to Denver International which ran right through the middle of Rocky Mountain National Park. It was a gorgeous day at the top of the world and a great send off to the happy couple.

High times above 12K

Thanks to both of you for sharing your time with us. We look forward to watching you continue your lifetime adventures together and sharing your love and commitment in Sonoma in September.
Eternal love to you both!
